Senator Jeffries moved to amend the bill on page one, section three, lines ten through twelve, by striking out the words “any person who installs low voltage electrical (Fire and Burglar Alarm Communication Systems) with only low voltage wiring, 80 volts or less, and is not installed in a location considered as hazardous under the National Electrical Code” and insert in lieu thereof the words “any person who installs low voltage electrical burglar alarm communication systems that utilizes only low voltage wiring of 50 volts or less, and is not installed in a location considered as hazardous under the National Electrical Code or occupancies or parts of occupancies that are or may be hazardous because of atmospheric concentrations of flammable liquids, gases, or vapors, or because of deposits or accumulations of materials that may be readily ignitable”.
